Dr. Karen Allen is a Therapeutic Optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist, which means she can treat eye problems like pink eye and styes, dry eye and glaucoma as well as providing precise and clear prescriptions for glasses and contacts. She grew up in Carrollton, and then went to Texas A&M University before receiving her optometric degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She returned to the Dallas area in 2001, and began practicing optometry. She has practiced in many different settings, from the VA clinic to a large LASIK center, in large private practices and small offices next to national optical chains. Dr. Allen started Premier Vision of Dallas in order to bring all the good ideas from these different practices together to offer a patient centered experience to residents here in the Dallas area. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, loves living in Dallas for its fine arts and entertainments, and also likes to travel, especially if fishing is involved.

Commander/Dr. Mary Kelly, US Navy (retired) spent 25 years of active duty in the Navy. She was a military professor at the Naval Academy and a civilian professor at the Air Force Academy. She learned lessons in leadership in the first and second gulf wars and during 911. She uses real-world military and industry examples that resonate with participants.
