Dr. Garret Guthrie grew up in Wichita, Kansas where he first began taking an interest in dentistry. Dr. Guthrie moved to Kansas City to complete his Bachelor degree in chemistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). He also participated in the UMKC athletics program as a member of the soccer team where he served as captain his senior year.
