"This is a 4 star high end bed and breakfast / luxury inn with 18 unique accommodations. It's made up of 13 suites, two log cabins and three cottages. The main building looks like a castle and each room has a private fire place, hot tub and kitchen. The inn is located in Galena Illinois which is a historic town and home of former president Ulysses Grant. While technically inside Galena we are located 8 miles south and overlooking the Mississippi River. We have high ratings across the web in customer reviews and we have strong organic seo rankings.
We also have a gourmet restaurant on the property. Our restaurant is rated the number 1 restaurant in Galena on TripAdvisor.
There are quite a few bed and breakfasts in Galena Illinois. However, our main competitor is Jail Hill Inn located right downtown. Jail Hill Inn was rated the #1 bed and breakfast in United States on TripAdvisor until 2020 and now they are 3 or 4. That's our main competitor. We often rank higher than them in SEO but because they are located right downtown they tend to win the map pack and we never show for the main terms on maps. Right now our GMB page is the same for the Inn and the restaurant. The restaurant is called Goldmoor Dining. Should we consider creating a separate GMB page for the restaurant? I would like to talk about this. Again we are located 8 miles south of downtown so we don't really rank in maps but we rank well in SEO and get significant traffic that way and because we are #1 on TripAdvisor."
