High Performance Tutoring is different from ordinary learning centers and tutoring companies in Berkeley, CA and the greater Bay Area for several reasons. We have extremely high standards when it comes to selecting our tutors, higher than all other major tutoring companies in the Bay Area as far as we can tell. How do we know this? Many tutors who previously worked for other companies for one or more years have applied for a job with us and have been rejected. We have rejected many licensed teachers and people with their PhD's because they did not score high enough in the four required areas we believe are the most essential for effective tutoring.
