Dr. Hunnewell initially trained in eye and periocular microsurgery. She completed specialized fellowship training in Neuro-ophthalmology and orbital surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

A faculty position at Dean A. McGee Eye Institute brought her to Oklahoma City where she now resides.

A few years into her faculty position at Dean A. McGee Eye Institute she began to explore a two year plastic surgery residency. With this in mind, Dr. Hunnewell began her specialized fellowship training in both facial cosmetic and laser surgery.
