My father was a dentist. I admired him and how he was able to provide for our family. I liked the independence of being in my own business and controlling my own destiny with orthodontics. I am also the type who pays a great deal of attention to detail but who does not take myself too seriously.

I am casual and friendly with my patients, and I like to create a relaxed, fun environment. It's a good feeling to help them look forward to their orthodontic experience and a good feeling when their treatment is done and they are happy with the results. I enjoy interacting with them and making their visits as fun as possible.

When he's not straightening teeth, Dr. Cochran spends time golfing, on do-it-yourself projects and repairs around the house, watersports and fishing. He is also involved in community work through the American Heart Association and the San Antonio Executives Association.
