Tribe Pilates is a Pilates Studio in Santa Monica, CA. The pilates classes at Tribe Pilates are designed to deliver results whether its in group classes, semi-private or private sessions with Certified Pilates Instructors.

We offer a wide range of pilates classes each designed to strengthen your total body by focusing and building your weaker muscles with each movement you take. Each class puts an emphasis on breathing, developing a strong core, alignment and coordination and balance. Whether you are male, female, young, old, new to pilates or even a professional athlete, our goal is to help you transform the way you look and feel no matter your fitness level.

There are different types of Pilates Practices. Current practices include Mat Pilates, Contemporary Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Clinical Pilates and Classical Pilates.

Here at Tribe Pilates we focus on Reformer Pilates. Exercise routines on the reformer are great because the machine accommodates full range motion which shapes and sculpts your total body through a spring-based resistance training method creating a strong, flexible and balanced body. The reformer also allows you to explore the length you want to create in your body and trains your body to hold that length.

We strive to build a supportive community that keeps you motivated and encourages you to stay committed to your fitness goals. Classes are structured to be small and are perfect for meeting like minded individuals.

With a consistent practice you’ll enjoy the many benefits of pilates which include
stress relief, weight loss, relief from back pain, strong core, increased flexibility and mobility, improved posture, rehabilitation of joint and spinal injuries and more.

Tribe Pilates is a hidden gem! I did my first class this past weekend during their pre-opening. I haven't been to Pilates in over a year, but wanted to get back into it and thought this was the perfect way to try it out. Let's just say Emily is amazingly tough! She was everything I wanted in a Pilates instructor. Sometimes I feel like I go to classes and I basically just stretched for an hour. This was not the case for Emily's class. I’ve taken two classes at this studio thus far and both have been excellent. I took the Arms and Abs class and the Booty and Stems class, and after both classes I felt great and was sore the next day. Emily’s attention to form is impeccable and her workouts are beautifully choreographed to achieve muscle exhaustion. She weaves in stretches to ensure you have a chance to recover. The studio itself is beautiful, with a minimalist aesthetic. There’s plenty of metered parking nearby.
