Unreliable , unresponsive, makes promises about what job he would do without doing it. Shoddy incomplete work. Doesn't even show up on work site.

For 11 months after receiving final payment Dan promised to finish job and repair cracked mortar and mortar which fell out everywhere. He hired help to do my walkways even I only let him do the work because he repeatedly promised to do it himself. Dan did belittle me about my concerns in regard to poor workmanship and did not show up to check on the job. He always was too busy. I was told he had 7 jobs going on at that time. When job was nearly finished he demanded final payment. He praised his help for a great job even so I showed him the mess. Dan promised to have everything completed by the following week. Nothing happened despite endless calls to the help and to Dan. All around house it looked like a construction site. Mortar on siding, deck and carport. Flower beds and lawn had mortar and stone chips as far as 30 feet away. Unused flag stone everywhere. Lawn was very damaged. Dan made endless promises that he would fix  walkways. Numerous times he made appointments to come but did not show up or call that he would not come. Every time he made excuses. Finally he pressure washed walkways 6 weeks ago and made an unbelievable mess with loose mortar pieces all over the yard and deck. He finally came back to start repairs on the worst part where all the mortar between stones was missing. He left early afternoon leaving a coating of sand and mortar on this section. He threw extra mortar all along in flower beds and on lawn despite my request not to do this. This has been 3 weeks ago. Dan keeps setting up days he says he will come back but is always a no show. I cancelled appointments so many times waiting for Dan to show up. He continues with excuses and promises. He ignores my calls and voice mails. He is totally unreliable and complains relentlessly have much money he would loose because of this job.
